National Prominence

Kawida Lodge is definitely having some national prominence in the Order of the Arrow this week.

First, obviously is Don's election to the Southern Region Chief. He is the first youth member to serve as a National Officer from Kawida.

Second, is the current O.A. "National Bulletin" which has an article on High Adventure authored by our 2010 Lodge Chief, Aaron Shepherd.

Third, is the little "EXTRA OA-BSA News Article" logo on the front page of the National O.A. website which was done by Alex Hill.

Good job guys!

Court of Honor 2009

Troop and Crew 12 held a nice Court of Honor tonight. Several Rank advancements, Merit Badges, Religious awards, and Venturing Silver Awards. What a wonderful time of the year to celebrate achievements and all the hard work done by so many good Scouts.

7 Brides for 7 Brothers

The title should read: "Troop and Crew 12 present winter musical".

Virtually all of Venture Crew 12 and several Troop 12 members are starring and supporting this year's show.

Come if you can!

It is worth $5.00 just to see Viet with red hair!!

Bunch O' Patches

I had the fine opportunity to meet this 2nd Class Scout from the Mountain Laurel District, who was a guest at our Winter Banquet over the weekend. Very nice young man, who has ambitions of becoming an Order of the Arrow member, in the near future.

He has got a good start on the patch collecting side of it!

Nights Camping

Aaron Shepherd recently accumulated enough Scout Nights of Camping
to earn the coveted "250 Award".
He is the first in Troop 12 and hopefully not the last.

1/2 way there to this one!

This is the BIG one that you rarely see!
