The twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York will be on every one's mind today. 6 years ago, they came crumbling down.Way back in 1980, when I was a senior in high school, we visited New York and got to eat dinner on top of one of the towers at the Windows of the World restaurant. It was a great experience, but I can't go back now and do that again. It is gone.
The BSA Badge is a combination of many symbols. The one I want to remember today is "the eagle and shield stand for freedom, and a Scout's readiness to defend that freedom".
