The Great Lonesome Pine District had it's first official Roundtable Meeting, since May, last night and the attendance was good. Cub Scout and Boy Scout leaders were well represented and our small Appalachian group is doing big things in the Scouting Way.
The surprise of the night was our D.E. Jeremy Tackett showing up, just after he had his wisdom teeth cut out today. That was inspiring to say the least.
The big announcement was that Tim Dyer has accepted to be our District Commissioner and his partner in crime, Barry Combs will help as an Assistant District Commissioner.
Thanks to all of those who volunteer and serve the greatest program for youth in the world: Scouting!
