We paddle out of Base on Moose Lake around 9:00 am. We go through Birch Lake and several others. Up here you paddle a while, unload, and portage to the next lake. We have lunch on the US - Canada border.
We see Eagles flying around and nesting in trees.
Arrive at Robbins Island on Knife Lake around 3:00 pm. We set up camp and fix steak and rice for supper. Our Interpreter, Mike is a wonderful baker and fixes us apple pie for dessert.
It has been an awesome first day. Great 46th birthday too!
