I was asked a very good question earlier this week. "Can a member of a Boy Scout Troop, who is in a Venture Patrol, attend our Council's VOA activity this fall?"I wasn't sure, so I turned to my Venturing Mentor, Keith Gehlhausen, who is the Central Region Venturing Chair, was my Powder Horn Course Director, and was on Staff at the Sea Badge I attended. He has forgotten more, than I will ever know!
In short, the answer to the question is "No".
A Venture Patrol is a group of older Boy Scouts in a Troop. There are no Venturing Patrols. You are either registered in a Venture Crew(including awards, trips, etc.), or you are not.
