It is with pleasure that we are able to announce that Don Combs will now be serving as the Southern Region Sea Scout Boatswain. Don, who is from Ship 12 in Pikeville, Kentucky, is a Quartermaster Sea Scout who has also earned the Venturing Silver Award and is a recipient of the Hornaday Silver Award. He is currently attending Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky pursuing a Business Major. Don is just completing his term as the Southern Region OA Chief, so in addition to his personal Scouting background, he is also already familiar with our regional meetings and operations. Don is eager to encourage the growth of Sea Scouting in the Southern Region and is looking forward to working with the David and the rest of the Southern Region Venturing Officers Association.
