This was a year of first time ever. The Cubmaster of the Year and Scoutmaster of the Year are married. In the history of the District Award of Merit in the Lonesome Pine District, several couples have received this award: Elvis and Margie Thompson, Ray and Wanda Bartley, Hugh B. and Pat Hall, but this year Keith and Angela are the first to ever receive it in the same year!
